Risk & Liabilities

All services are provided based on the agreement at the time of booking and are subject to company and Tourism Authority policies.
Please note that you are responsible for your actions and must accept risks such as extreme conditions, unpredictable weather, and last-minute itinerary changes beyond our control. Lack of acclimatization to high altitudes can also pose a risk. We frequently conduct our trips in remote areas with limited emergency and medical services. In case of serious injury requiring hospitalization, evacuation may take several days and incur extra costs, which you will be responsible for paying on-site.
We are not responsible for changes or cancellations due to government restrictions, landslides, road blockages, floods, avalanches, political unrest, flight cancellations, delays, sickness, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns. We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, loss of luggage, and personal effects. You must show proof of travel insurance on the first day of your trip to join.
Cancellation Policy:
Upon payment of the deposit, your trip is confirmed, with full payment due 90 days prior to the trip start date. In the event of cancellation, the following fees apply:

Manaslu Trek reserves the right to alter itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as weather hazards, landslides, political unrest, road blockages, avalanches, or sudden illness. If necessary, we may customize the program based on client interests. In the event of trip cancellations due to war, natural disasters, political unrest, or poor weather, we will offer alternative trips of comparable quality for your next visit within a year.
- Before departure, if a significant change occurs (affecting at least 20% of the itinerary), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the option of accepting the change, receiving a refund for the land portion only, or choosing an alternative tour.
- After departure, any necessary changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen events will incur additional costs borne by the client, and Manaslu Trek is not responsible for additional expenses such as visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights.
Price Change
Manaslu Trek reserves the right to adjust pricing rates in response to external factors beyond our control, such as fluctuations in exchange rates and government actions. Travel Insurance
All travelers must have travel insurance, which should be purchased at the time of booking. The insurance must have a minimum coverage of USD $200,000 for personal accidents, death, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation. It should cover medical expenses related to accidents, illness, injury, and death, including those due to pre-existing conditions, as well as emergency repatriation (which includes air ambulance and helicopter rescue if applicable) and personal liability. The company suggests also including coverage for trip cancellation, curtailment, lost luggage, and personal effects. Company employees or suppliers should carry out and provide proof of insurance upon request. Failure to provide proof may result in trip cancellation or suspension, with no refund.
Flight Delay
Weather conditions and visibility issues can cause cancellations and delays when flying domestically in remote parts of Nepal. This is particularly true for flights in the Everest region (Lukla), Annapurna region (Jomsom), Dolpa, Simikot, Jumla, etc. If your itinerary includes such flights, it's advisable to budget extra for food and accommodations in case of delays. Manaslu Trek will not be responsible for any additional expenses or costs incurred from missed connections. If a delay extends beyond a certain period, our office in Kathmandu may assist in rescheduling international flights, though the airline may charge a fee. The traveler must cover all additional expenses in Kathmandu due to the delay (e.g., accommodation, meals).
To avoid frustration, it is highly advised to reserve extra days for potential delays, especially during off-peak seasons. If there are flight delays before or after the trek, the traveler is responsible for covering their accommodation and food costs.
