The trek commences with an 8 to 9 hour drive from Kathmandu to Arughat. Then the route climbs up and passes through different villages, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and Buddhist monasteries. You will get to pass along the villages as Sama Gaon, Samdo and Dharamshala are. Larkya La pass at 5170m is the highest point of the trip.

Manaslu region is a semi-restricted region of Nepal. Thus, it is controlled by the Nepalese Government. With the help of a travel agency, you can get a special permit for the region. To get the trekking permit for Tsum valley, you will need at least two trekkers and a registered trekking guide.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Day 2: Sightseeing tour around Kathmandu city

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (525m) and to Soti Khola (620m)- 7 to 8 hours of drive
After breakfast, we will enjoy the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Arughat in a Jeep or Bus. Then we will begin our trek and walk for a few hours to reach Soti Khola. Overnight in Soti Khola
Day 4: Trek Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (900m) – 8 to 9 hours of walk
We will start our trek from Bhuri Gandaki River and pass the villages such as Morder and Simre before we reach the beautiful Arkhat River. We will then slowly drive towards the Gurung Village of Labubesi. Here, we can also enjoy an idea bath in Seti River and then walk to MachhaKhola. Overnight in MachhaKhola
Day 5: Trek Maccha Khola to Jagat (1410 m): – 6 to 7 hours of walk
After early morning breakfast, we will continue up the river by following the gorge. On the way upwards, we might spot the Langur monkeys playing in the jungle. After a couple of hours, we will reach the large Gurung village’s i.e. Jagat, and stay there for the whole night. Overnight in Jagat
Day 6: Trek Jagat to Lokpa (2,250m)- 7 to 8 hours of walk
After a pleasant stay in the Jagat, our journey commences by climbing a rocky ridge where we can view the wonderful Sringi Himal. Then we will walk through the beautiful fields of maize, millet, and potato before entering the Nupri through the bamboo forests. Day 7: Trek from Lokpa to Chumling(2386m)- 6 to 7 hours of walk

Day 8: Chumling to Chhekampar(3010m)- 6 to 7 hours of walk
After breakfast, we will trek for 6/7 hours while enjoying a mesmerizing view of Ganesh and Himalchuli Himal. Along the way, we will cross the settlements such as Gho and Rainjam settlement. Then we will further trek to Chhekamper. Overnight in Chhekamapar
Day 9: Trek from Chekampar to Mu Gomba (3,245m) – 8 to 9 hours of walk
As we climb above Chokhangparo, we should be more careful of altitude problems. Walking past few Gurung settlement and alpine settlement, we will reach Mu Gomba. Mu Gomba is an important place for Buddhists in the region where the locals perform all of their cultural rituals. Overnight in Mu Gomba
Day 10: Trek from Mu Monastery to Chekampar (3,030m) – 5 to 6 hours of walk

Day 11: Trek from Chekampar to Deng (1920m) – 6 to 7 hours of walk
It’s an easy day as we descend the altitude of about 1100m. After early morning breakfast, we will begin the trek from Chekampar. After a couple of hours, we will cross several villages and crash at Deng for the night. Overnight in Deng.
Day 12: Trek Deng to Namrung (2630M) – 5 to 6 hours of walk
You will get the chance to enjoy the numerous Tibetan mani walls made up of stones with knottily hand-carved Buddhist scriptures. We will continue weaving through the canyons and cross through the beautiful forest of oaks and rhododendrons before reaching Namrung. Day 13: Trek Namrung to Sama Gaun (3530m) – 5 to 7 hours of walk
Today, we will trek along the forest of pine, oaks, and rhododendrons for a couple of hours and reach Sama Gaun. We will cross the small streams and villages on our way up. Then, we will crash at Sama Gaun, which is a beautiful Gurung Village. Overnight in Sama Gaun
Day 14: Acclimatization day at Sama Gaun
After weeks of hectic walks, we will pass through the classic alpine scenery. After we pass the Tibet grazing settlements, we will stay in Sama Gaon that was settled by Buddhist Tibetans over 500 years ago. Day 15: Trek Sama Gaun to Samdo (3780 m-5 to 6 hours of walk
After a rest day in Sama Gaun, we will commence our trek to Samdo. The walk begins after early morning breakfast and ascends slowly. After a few hours, we will stop for a small settlement along the way and the continue up to Samdo. Overnight in Samod
Day 16: Trek Samdo to Dharamshala (4390m)- 5 to 6 hours of walk
Today we will trek to Dharmasala, which is also called Larkya Base Camp. Our trail moves through the top of the moraine (4700m) and Gya La. It’s a very old trading route that leads us to Tibet. From there, we descend to Duwang or Dharmasala. Overnight in Dharmashala
Day 17: Trek Dharamshala to Larkya la pass (5170m) & Bhimthang (3660mm)- 6 to 7 hours of walk
It’s our big day as we will trek to the highest point of our journey i.e. 5135m. We will pass through Larkye La Pass after crossing a moraine (4700m). The walk is going to difficult than other days, but the effort is well worth it. We will finally reach Bhimthang, where we will celebrate our successful hike to Larkye La Pass. Overnight in Bhimthang
Day 18: Trek Bimthang to Dharapani (1860m)- 5 to 6 hours of walk
Today, it’s all about descending to the lower Annapurna region. Our trail climbs down through the village of Kharche, Gho & Tilje. Afterward, we will reach Dharapani by tracing the bank of Dudh Khola. At Dharapani, we will meet the Annapurna trail and enjoy the magnificent view of Manaslu and Annapurna II. Overnight in Dharapani
Day 19: Drive from Dharapani (1860m) to Besisahar and drive to Kathmandu
After a couple of hour’s drive from Dharapani to Besisahar in a local jeep, we will enjoy our lunch. Then, we will further drive for about 6 hrs in a jeep or bus to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathamandu
Day 20: Final departure
